Structured Elegance

Deb and Michael Hoskins also love to entertain.  Together this displays both of their talents.  Michael Hoskins arranges the table and Deb Hoskins does all the cooking.  And even when they have large parties they do not use a caterer.  "It's nothing for us to have a party for 100 people and Deb does all the cooking," says Michael Hoskins.  Nor do they have a maid to help with the house; again, by choice.

Dining Room
The portrait is 1728, unknown subject by Richard Brown. Below it is displayed Wedgewood and Spode porcelain plates in the fishscale pattern dating from the late 19th century. Most unusual and giving this serious room a touch of whimsy are the painted Chinese Chippendale design chairs by Kittinger. Hoskins got this idea from a designer he greatly admires, the late Mark Hampton. The dining table is an English Regency reproduction. Gracing the ends are Louis XVI Italian chairs. The Italian giltwood candle- burning chandeliers are from the J. Paul Getty estate.
