Orange County, California |
|
|
Orange County, California is home to
Cottages
and Gardens.
Orange County is located between Los Angeles and San Diego. In its early years, Orange
County was predominantly an agriculture based economy growing fruits and vegetables.
Until recent years, Orange County was a sleepy suburban community to Los Angeles. Today, Orange County has its own identity as a highly desirable place to live and work with a
robust and diverse economy. |
|
While Orange
County has grown up in many respects, many communities in the county have preserved their
early "cottage culture" and cottage homes and other buildings. Some of the more popular
cottage style communities include Orange (particularly Old Town Orange), Tustin, San
Clemente, Laguna Beach and Corona del Mar. |
|
The Footbridge on Goldenrod Avenue is one of the most well-known and popular landmarks in
Corona del Mar. It bridges the heart of Corona del Mar to the beach. The Footbridge is
243' long and was built in 1928. It was necessary due to the existence of Bayside Canyon
below. The Ivy Geraniums are always a welcome site! Corona del Mar
(Crown
of the Sea), like Laguna Beach and San Clemente, is in the
heart
of Orange County's Gold Coast.
More precisely, it is between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach. Corona del Mar (CdM) is
known for its quaint cottages, great restaurants, quiet lifestyle, beautiful coastline and
beaches. |
