Sharing A Vision

Despite how simple it sounds on paper, the progression of this transformation happened over a four-year period.  The first phase was the renovation, then came the additions. The family lived in the house a couple of years to get the feel of how they liked living in it.  After the addition of baby number three, they added onto the sunroom and the master bedroom and bath.

Throughout this time Anitra was decorating the house with the help of her next-door neighbor, interior designer Julie Ensor.   "The biggest thing she helped me do is come up with an overall plan.  She really helped me with my living room," said Anitra.  Ensor was also instrumental in furniture and fabric selections.  In keeping with the combination of old and new Anitra prefers more contemporary fabrics in an old house setting.  Her taste mimic her own appearance, young and fresh.

Living Room
The original pine boards were left on the walls to keep some of the charm of the old house.  The sofas are Bakers' Milling Road line and drapery fabric by Osborne & Little.
