Ridge's instincts have helped her avoid what she feels is one of the biggest mistakes people make when decorating their homes. "I think being pretentious is a big mistake," she says. "It's the flaw of our times, really. People have had too much money and too little taste."
"They accumulate too much too quickly and don't take the time to develop their tastes," she says, pointing out that her own dining room is a work in progress and does not yet have a table as she continues to search for the perfect centerpiece to the room.
Ridge also has renovation plans for the master suite and several outbuildings on the property. In the meantime, however, she has a created a home that reflects her wit, whimsy and unique vision.
