| Christmas For Her Family |

The last two years, the Parkinson family has not had a Christmas party, but this year Parkinson says she will invite the neighborhood children and their parents to come over to do fun Christmas projects like making candles and decorating cookies. The only other entertaining she is planning this Christmas is a family Sunday brunch. So all the work Parkinson does preparing for Christmas is primarily for her and her family's pleasure. The joy of gift giving was taught to Parkinson as a child by her father. He impressed upon her that the giving part of Christmas is just as wonderful as the getting part. So it is not surprising that Parkinson says, "One of our favorite things to do is to load the car up and deliver our neighbors' Christmas gifts."
