A Home For The Holidays |
(And Parties) |
|
Given the amount of work the parties entail, they now have them every other year instead of yearly. As talented, smart, and pretty as Kaye is, Gerry has his talents too. "He is a creative genius," says Kaye. One year Gerry designed the invitations: a CD with all their favorite Christmas music on it and on the cover a photograph of the front of their house decorated for Christmas. Another year, the invitations were wrapped in lobster claws because they served lobster for dinner that year. And following the party another year, they passed out sweatshirts to their guests as they were leaving that had caricatures of Gerry and Kaye drawn by the famous New York Times artist Al Hirschfield. Below read, "Christmas at Gerry's and Kaye's at Tranquility."
(The name of their home given by Gerry, "of course," says Kaye.) |
