Building My Worst Nightmare

We had conflicts over doors, lighting, shelving, hot water heaters, shower doors, and always costs.  What I was willing to save money on, he wasn’t (ok, so you don’t want the faucets to drip).  When I wanted arty (translates expensive), of course it absolutely couldn’t be done.  Then there were always the surprises and the compromises that amazed both of us that came out great.

And that is how a lot of our home got built.  Some of it’s Mike, some of it’s me and some of it’s us.  We really like it and the boys seem to also, and that’s what counts when you are building your Dream Home, even if it’s a nightmare.
