The
Slipcovers for our Slipcovered Furniture For Kids™
(Chairs, Rockers, Ottomans, etc.) are generally constructed of all decorator fabric (usually
100% cotton) and can be easily removed for cleaning. Each Slipcover is carefully hand
crafted by our fabricators to meet Traditional American Quality Standards including sewing
sturdy seams to ensure that the Slipcover will last. Every Slipcover is also closely
inspected by a non-fabricator to ensure that it meets the Quality Standards that we expect
at CottagesandGardens.
The
skirting style varies from design to design and generally may include a full ruffle skirt, a
corner ruffle skirt, a pleated corner skirt or a straight skirt. Within each design,
each applicable component that will have a skirt (e.g. chair, rocker, ottoman) will have the
same style of skirt and the style will be identified on the Item Description Page of each
design. Each skirt is approximately 5" long and is fully lined to give it a
"Finished Full Look".
For best
results, we always recommend dry cleaning our Slipcovers if possible. However, our
Slipcovers are machine washable with good results using proper care. We recommend
washing the Slipcovers in cold water with a mild detergent. Use a delicate cycle if
possible. Remove the Slipcover from the washer as soon as possible after the spin
cycle has completed and air dry. If wrinkles should develop during washing, we
recommend that you put the Slipcover in the dryer on low heat long enough to remove the
wrinkles. Remove the Slipcover while still damp and air dry. Many of our
Slipcovers may be dried in a dryer until completely dry, but simply as a precautionary
measure, we do not recommend it.
